Prescribed Uniform for NLE Examinees

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC - Manila) and Board of Nursing (BoN) has released a board resolution regarding the new dress code for Nurse Licensure Exam (NLE) Examinees.

Board Resolution No. 2009 - 17 series of 2009 prescribed a dress code in Nurses Licensure Examination and not allowing examinee(s) to the testing center who are not in prescribed nurse uniform. This resolution was imposed in order to discipline nurses and foster the pride of the Nursing profession.

Here are the list of prescribed nurse uniform during Nurses Licensure Examination.

  • Female: Clinical Uniform with white shoes and white stockings but without nameplate, school insignia/ logo or pin.
  • Male: Clinical Uniform with white shoes and white socks but without nameplate, school insignia/ logo or pin.
  • Pregnant Female: White Clinical Scrub Suit
  • Repeaters: may wear clinical Scrub Suit

Examinees who are not in the dress code shall not be allowed to take the examination and their examination fees shall be forfeited. Those examinees who were denied entry into the testing center/examination room but would later on arrive in dress code but are already late for that particular examination subject shall likewise not be allowed to take the examination for being late.
