Discover Fun & Innovative Summer Experience at GCIC Culinary, The Fort BONIFACIO GLOBAL CITY When was the last time you came home from a hard days work to find your ten year old preparing dinner? How about your kid teaching you how to maintain your kitchen safe and sanitary? Wouldnt it be wonderful to have a little help around the kitchen; especially from the ones who can barely keep their rooms clean? Let your kids discover the little Rachel Ray or Jaimie Oliver in them this summer! Global City Innovative College – GCIC Culinary takes the usual young chef’s summer program to another level with its 5-day Young Chef Leaders Discovery Camp (YCL-DC). From the ripe ages of 6 to 11 (kiddies) and 12 to 16 (juniors), young cooking enthusiasts are able to enjoy a fun and innovative summer educational experience. “GCIC’s summer program for kids teaches more than preparing dishes by following recipes,” says JB Bolaños, GCIC Head of Marketing. “Kids are provided with a memorable and fun summer experience as they meet new friends and discover their kitchen talents in a carefully designed program that spells innovation.” GCIC Culinary’s Young Chef Leaders can choose from three (3) tracks: Global Flavors, Asian Flavors, and Baking & Pastry. While Days 2 to 4 focus on cuisines classes, Day 1 of YCL-DC orients the kids with safety, cleanliness, and appreciation of flavors.
An innovative approach to summer cooking classes for kids, GCIC Culinary also gives a unique overview of culinary arts through the integration of tours of Fiesta Market! and the Green Roof Organic Garden of Market! Market! on Day 1. Market! Market! is happy to collaborate with GCIC Culinary as the former opens their doors to the young budding culinarians. Participants are grouped and given time to create simple fun dishes alongside a big brother or sister chef mentors who will be serving as culinary advisors for every team. Professional chefs and foodies will act as judges. Both the Café Global Party and the Iron Chef Cook Off are held at GCIC Culinary at the GE Monogram Experience Center, Serendra.
